Medigap plans are sold by private insurance companies to people who are age 65 or older, or people who are on permanent disability through Social Security who are under the age of 65.
The Medigap plans cover the deductibles and coinsurance amounts that Medicare does not pay. The plans vary in the amount they cover based on a letter system of A through N.
One of the best places to easily find and compare plans is the Medicare website itself, www.medicare.gov. It is at this location where one can locate the different plans by company and price and see them all in one place.
