With some of the changes that have come about, all citizens who are getting plan A will also be receiving plan B. This is to make sure they have comprehensive coverage rather than losing out on certain features.

This change will be noticeable with the 2017 Medigap plans.

The plans are also going to be split so that each person has their coverage rather than an entire family coming under the same plan.

Each person will sign up for their plans (parents/guardians do it for children). There are established dates for when a person has to be signed up.
